Top Things to do in Oahu
April 30, 2014
Without a doubt, Pearl Harbor tops the list of things to do in Oahu. It is the most visited attraction in the state of Hawaii. The best thing about visiting the Island of Oahu is that you can see all of her major sites in a singe day. The best way to do so efficiently is on a combo tour. Here are the sites and the tours that will take you there.
The North Shore
Even if Pearl Harbor is the most visited attraction, the North Shore is the most popular. Many visitors go to the North Shore only in the winter because that is the surfing season. From October through February the waves often top 20 feet. If you visit during this season the is a site you will definitely want to see.
To visit the North Shore we recommend:
The Polynesian Cultural Center
The most visited paid attraction in the state of Hawaii is the Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC). There is a good reason for this. The Polynesian Cultural Center will feel like a whirlwind trip to the South Pacific. There are villages representing the different countries of Polynesia. There is a canoe pageant and plenty of sites to see.
If you are looking to see both Pearl Harbor and PCC in the same day, we recommend:
Circle Island Tour
There are so many mores sites on Oahu. Diamond Head can be seen from Waikiki, but it is more interesting up close. Hanauma Bay, the Halona blowhole, Makapu’u lookout and Pali lookout are just some of the other top things to see when you are on Oahu.
To see the most of Oahu we recommend:
The combo tours that we recommend on this page all include the Arizona Memorial program at Pearl Harbor. They do not include other sites like the Missouri Memorial or the Pacific Aviation Museum. Those sites cannot be combined with other Oahu sites. With only one day, follow our recommendations for the best things to do in Oahu.
