Battleship Missouri Accessibility
Battleships were designed for young sailors to move quickly up and down stairs (that feel more like ladders). However, the Battleship Missouri Memorial has done a fine job of equipping the ship for visitors with disabilities. There are elevators and accessible restrooms. Wheelchairs are available, but should be arranged in advance.
The tour script is available for hearing impaired visitors. A sign language interpreter can be arranged with advance notice (at least 2 weeks).
If you are vision-impaired, the ship is difficult, but with help can be navigated successfully. Guides are able to advise you of obstructions that could otherwise cause you to stub a toe or bang your head. Service animals are welcome.
