We added a day to the end of our trip to Kauai just to visit this memorial and the North Shore of Oahu, and it was well worth it! The USS Missouri is a floating museum full of historical memorabilia, whilst the Arizona Memorial is a place of silent reflection for all visitors. Must see and learn all of the history! Super interesting and sad at the same time. Lots to see and do. Its amazing the quietness of the grounds here.

We made the quick flight to Oahu from Kauai! This was a fun tour to take in most of Oahu! The video shown prior to boarding for the Arizona was about the attack on Pearl Harbor with footage I have not seen before. Seeing the USS Missouri near the Arizona shows the start and end of the US involvement in the Pacific war. Once you are at the actual ship, you have the opportunity to view different parts of the ship. I would recommend this visit to everyone who appreciates history. There are also little gift shops and food available. Some other fav highlights of the tour: Dole Plantation for some pineapple ice cream. The Pali look out. Waimea Bay!

We got to see the famous North Shore of Oahu. Although nothing compared to the beauty of the Napali Coast, the waves on the Bonsai Pipeline were amazing. As far as Pearl Harbor: The 23-minute film at the beginning did a fantastic job both of setting the context for the rest of the memorial and to encourage tourists to enter the right frame of mind to visit this national battlefield and cemetery. The actual ship memorial is amazing. Very moving and I am honoured to be able to pay my respects to those who lost their lives. This tour is great if vacationing on Kauai if you want to get the feel of Oahu in on one day.
